The city of
Woodward, Oklahoma will be host to the American Petroleum Institute (API) Annual Fish Fry and Dance at the Woodward County
Fairgrounds. For more than 40 years the American Petroleum Institute has held the fish frying event to raise money to provide
four year college scholarships to area students. This group annually bestows 15 $1,000 scholarships to young scholars around
the area. More than 3,000 people are expected to attend the event where 1,500 pounds of fish will be served up along with
hush puppies, Texas toast and more. The event will be held at the Woodward County fairgrounds. The fish fry is one of Woodward’s
largest annual events. The dinner will begin at 4:30 p.m. and The Whiskey Moon Band will be providing the
entertainment for the dance that will begin at 9:00 p.m. that evening.
